"There are beings in this world that exist only in the minds of the ones who believe in them. The ones who claim they saw them, heard them coming or knew about them from stories. These stories are pseudosciences and folklore. Beliefs that don’t fit into our notion of truth. They ́re outdated. They ́re Unreal. Yet, the level of “weirdness” in nature often exceeds fantasy anyway. So to me they become the same.
The creatures and beings in the exhibition deal with this idea. They are the result of biology and zoology run amok. Not fitting into laws of nature, they still claim their right to belong in this world. What’s real has more to do with what ́s going on on the inside. The levels of comprehension at play when you interpret the world are transmuted into beliefs that trigger emotions. The rest are just facts."
